Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts is expanding its Greek portfolio with a new coastal property in Mykonos that stretches from sandy beaches to dramatic cliffs. Olivia Palamountain reports

Opening in summer 2025 along Kalo Livadi Bay, Four Seasons Mykonos resort will span more than 60,000 square metres of coast overlooking the Aegean Sea.

The development - a partnership between Four Seasons and AGC Equity Partners' Blue Iris Investments S.A - will blend quintessential Mediterranean and Cycladic elements with sustainable architecture, aimed at preserving the surrounding environment.

"Following the success of our partnership with AGC Equity Partners on our award-winning hotel in Athens, we knew that this new resort in Mykonos would be the perfect addition to our portfolio in this beautiful country."

The resort will embrace traditional Cycladic architecture, featuring the island's characteristic white cubic buildings, whitewashed courtyards, and traditional pathways. Greek architect Nicos Valsamakis leads the design, with interiors by Wimberly Interiors.

Dining venues, designed by Rockwell Group, will include an al fresco poolside Italian restaurant, a modern interpretation of a Mykonian Kafeneio, and a beach dining experience.

Additional facilities will include an infinity swimming pool overlooking the Aegean, a spa with treatment rooms, fitness facilities, and venues for events and celebrations.

Ryan Grande, who brings 14 years of Four Seasons experience from properties in Jackson Hole, Seattle, Vancouver and Costa Rica, will serve as general manager. "Being a part of this expansion in Greece will undoubtedly be a career highlight," says Grande. "I look forward to opening our doors in Mykonos very soon."

The development represents a significant investment in Greek luxury tourism. Walid Abu-Suud, CEO of AGC Equity Partners, notes: "Our decision to expand our investment portfolio in Greece and develop another landmark destination in Mykonos constitutes evidence of our increased confidence in, and commitment to, the country's growth in high-end tourism."

The resort will be accessible from Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens via ferry or short flight, creating a luxury circuit for visitors to Greece.
