Raffles to open all-villa hotel in Singapore's Sentosa
Raffles Hotels is set to open its first all-villa property in Singapore, marking a significant expansion for the brand in the city where it was founded in 1887. Olivia Palamountain reports
Raffles Sentosa Singapore, opening on march 1, 2025, will feature 62 villas set within 100,000 square metres of tropical gardens on Sentosa island.
The hilltop location, 15 minutes from the city's business district, is set on on Asia's first GSTC-certified island and offers seclusion despite its proximity to the centre.
Designed by studio Yabu Pushelberg, accommodations range from one-bedroom pool villas to a Royal Villa with four bedrooms, all serviced by Raffles' signature butlers. Each villa includes a private pool and outdoor terrace, with floor-to-ceiling windows framing garden views. The resort will house five distinct dining venues. Empire Grill will serve modern Italian cuisine, while Royal China offers refined Cantonese dishes and Hashida provides a Japanese omakase experience. The Chairman's Room, styled as a sophisticated speakeasy, will specialise in rare whiskies and cognacs. Traditional Raffles afternoon tea will be served in the Raffles Room, with additional dining options available poolside or on a private stretch of Tanjong Beach.
A spa complex occupying a converted heritage building will feature 13 treatment rooms focusing on holistic wellness, while two ballrooms cater to events for up to 400 guests.
Giovanni Viterale, cluster general manager, says the resort will be "an enchanting sanctuary, where nature, heritage, and wellness come together with the legendary traditions and world-class hospitality of the Raffles brand."
The hotel is now accepting enquiries for stays, weddings, events, and spa experiences.
