Soho House São Paulo marks the brand’s debut into South America, bringing its inimitable blend of work, rest and play to Brazil. Olivia Palamountain reports

South America’s first Soho House outpost, Soho House São Paulo, is housed in  a 20th-century Italianate building in the Bela Vista neighbourhood.

In keeping with Soho House’s commitment to local culture, the interiors showcase Brazilian-made furnishings and design, drawing inspiration from the city’s Portuguese heritage and Brazilian modernism.

The new club features 32 bedrooms of various sizes, the larger of which have private terraces and freestanding baths, decked out with reclaimed wood floors and hand-painted bathroom tiles.

The collection includes works by renowned figures such as Alexandre Da Cunha, Leda Catunda and Yuli Yamagata, alongside emerging talents.

While the club is now open to members, phase two of the development is expected to be completed by 2025. This will include a state-of-the-art gym with daily fitness programming, sauna and steam rooms, and a rooftop pool bar.
