Wrexham AFC has collaborated with club sponsor, United Airlines, to create limited-edition amenity kits and pyjamas modelled on the team’s football strip. Jess Hipgrave reports

Wrexham AFC, the oldest football club in Wales, is on a winning streak. Not only is the club now owned by Hollywood stars, Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds, but it has been promoted to League One and is also the subject of an Emmy award-winning docuseries, “FX’s Welcome to Wrexham”, now streaming on Hulu.

In light of Wrexham AFC’s increasing fame, and to celebrate the team’s second consecutive promotion, club sponsor, United Airlines has released complimentary Wrexham AFC amenity kits.

The limited-edition kits will be available to United Polaris business class travellers on long-haul international routes and comprise exclusive pyjamas designed to resemble the team’s football strip.Wrexham AFC x United AirlinesThe lightweight pyjama set includes a red, long-sleeved shirt with the Wrexham AFC and United logos on the front, designed to resemble the team jersey, plus grey pants with the United logo on the hip.

A reusable amenity case (also available for United Polaris business class travellers on short-haul flights) features the Wrexham crest and is available in red, black or white.

Inside are travel essentials such as an eye mask, ear plugs, socks, a bamboo toothbrush, toothpaste and Therabody skin care products.Wrexham AFC x United AirlinesUnited Premium Plus® travellers will receive a reusable zippered pouch that features the Wrexham crest, available in red, black or white.

Director of Onboard Product Design at United, Peter Wolkowski says: “With our amenity kits, we always aim to provide customers with products that make their travel journey more comfortable as well as create one-of-a-kind keepsakes for them to enjoy well beyond their flight.”

United Airlines is also sponsoring the club’s North American summer tour, flying the teams to games around the country.
