Whether you believe in star signs or not, an astrological cultural takeover is upon us. As reported by Harper’s Bazaar Australia, the mystical services market, which includes astrology, mediumship, tarot and palm readings, is estimated to be worth US$2.2 billion globally, with an average growth of 0.5 per cent per year since 2017.
Compounding these figures is data from WGSN, which says that 62 per cent of Gen Z and 63 per cent of millennials say their zodiac sign accurately represents their personality traits, with many also leveraging astrology to help make life decisions — from dating to career direction and finances, including property and investments. With a bit of help from astrocartography, we can add travel to that list.
In 2019, Globetrender founder Jenny Southan predicted this trend, writing an article for Baku magazine on how a growing number of holiday-makers are looking to the stars before they book their holiday.
A branch of astrology that examines where in the world planets were rising or setting at the time of someone’s birth, this study commissioned by Online Casinos has used astrocartography – with a bit of help from psychic and astrologer Inbaal Honigman, who has linked each zodiac sign to a holiday destination.
Inbaal Honigman, celebrity psychic and astrologer, explains: “Applying astrology to well-being, romance or shopping is increasingly popular, but astrocartography isn’t often consulted.
