Celebrity Cruises has launched ‘Goop at Sea’ in collaboration with its official wellbeing advisor, actress and entrepreneur Gwyneth Paltrow. Rose Dykins reports

Celebrity Cruises has teamed up with Goop, Gwyneth Paltrow’s lifestyle and wellbeing brand, to debut “Goop at Sea” on the cruise line’s upcoming new luxury ship Celebrity Beyond.

This autumn, passengers will be able to experience the new “wellbeing retreat at sea”, comprising transformative experiences and sessions led by Goop’s wellness practitioners – and an appearance from Gwyneth herself.Gwyneth Paltrow“Goop at Sea” will be hosted on Celebrity Beyond’s nine-night Italian Riviera and France voyage, departing from Barcelona on September 24, 2022.

Curated and hosted by Goop, “Goop at Sea” includes a live interview and Q&A session with a leading wellness expert hosted by Gwyneth Paltrow; interactive sessions led by Goop practitioners; pop-up experiences such as nourishing food tastings, product trials and massages; and gifts and surprises arranged by Goop.

Celebrity Beyond The RetreatThe partnership between Celebrity Cruises and Goop –  which first began in early 2020 – will also see a selection of Goop’s signature products available on board, including its GOOPGLOW skin and hair range and its GOOPGENES skin and beauty collection.

Gwyneth Paltrow will continue in her role as Celebrity Cruises’s wellbeing advisor, and the Goop team will carry on curating the wellness offering for the cruise line’s ships.

So far, this has included on-demand classes on TVs in ship’s guestrooms, a specially created Goop detox smoothie and fitness tools on offer for guests staying in Aquaclass rooms, and a fully immersive wellness experience with Celebrity’s new Aqua Sky Suites – which feature floor-to-ceiling ocean views, private verandas, luxury bedding and other wellness amenities.

Celebrity Beyond AquaClass SkySuiteKiki Koroshetz, Goop’s vice-president of content, will also continue her role in Celebrity Cruises’s “Women in Wellness” programme, which collates the expertise of respected female leaders in the wellness industry to cultivate a unique wellness programme at sea.

Tickets for Goop at Sea are available for US$750 to guests who book suite accommodations in The Retreat on Celebrity Beyond’s September 24, 2022 “Italian Riviera and France” sailing.

Celebrity Beyond’s facilities and guest experience were also co-curated using the talents and expertise of British designer Kelly Hoppen CBE, American designer Nate Berkus, Paris-based design firm Jouin Manku, British architect Tom Wright, and Michelin-starred chef and restaurateur Daniel Boulud.
