Indian Ocean resort the Nautilus Maldives has teamed up with private jet specialists Dominvs Aviation to offer ultra-exclusive, luxury escapes. Olivia Palamountain reports
Social distancing has reached new heights with this bespoke private travel experience from London-based private jet specialists Dominvs Aviation and Indian Ocean hideaway, the Nautilus Maldives.
The collaboration begins with a non-stop Bombardier 6000 jet flight (departing at guests’ convenience) from a private terminal at “one of London’s business airports”, as yet undisclosed.
Jet charter company PrivateFly has said that, compared with 2019, it has seen an 85 per cent rise in inquiries, as “Germaphobia” (a trend identified by Globetrender in its recent report) grips the travel industry.
The Dominvs Aviation Bombardier jet interior features plush seating for up to 14 passengers, a full-size washroom, a private zone that can be arranged as a master bedroom suite or a stateroom, with entertainment systems and made-to-order catering.
This privately-owned, air-conditioned 54-foot luxury yacht is on standby to transport guests directly to the Nautilus, washed down with lashings of champagne.
All guests are attended to by a dedicated House Master offering a full butler service. Forget opening hours or menus, every element of a stay at The Nautilus is bespoke.
While it’s certainly not cheap (prices start from £26,900 per person for six nights, based on six adults travelling together and sharing three Beach Houses) this does include flights as well as daily breakfast, a couples’ massage at the Solasta Spa, a private aerial yoga session and a personal guided snorkel tour of the island’s reef.
