A collaboration between future-facing magazine Wired and luxury luggage brand Tumi has resulted in a competition to find the most innovative travel companies, destinations and brands in the industry.

The reader-voted winners were announced last night (December 15), and were presented by Jeremy White, product editor of Wired UK, and Michael Petry, creative director of Tumi.

Petry said: “The heart of these awards is really about people innovating, people bringing new technologies to the forefront, and people advancing through creative means.”

With close to 4,500 public votes from a pre-selected shortlist of nominees, readers of Wired decided who would come out top. White said: “Wired readers are extremely engaged and informed so they appreciate unique, thorough and well-designed products that raise the bar.”
