The 2015 Beer Price Index (from transport price comparison website GoEuro) reveals which are the most affordable destinations to go out drinking based on data from 75 countries.
Looking at the prices of 33cl bottles of both local brews and the five most popular imported brands, as well as how much they cost in a supermarket and a bar, the results were as follows…
1. Krakow and Kiev £1.07
2. Bratislava £1.09
3. Malaga £1.11
4. Delhi £1.13
5. Ho Chi Minh City £1.15
6. Mexico City £1.26
7. Belgrade £1.27
8. Asuncion £1.28
9. Bangkok and Cairo £1.36
10. Cape Town £1.38
The most expensive cities for boozing were:
1. Geneva £4.08
2. Hong Kong £3.97
3. Tel Aviv £3.73
So avoid these at all cost.
