The Branson Estate on Moskito Island in the BVIs will be available to hire for ‘isolation vacations’ next year, as the wealthy continue to shun other holidaymakers. Rose Dykins reports
In spring 2021, we will see the official launch of Moskito Island in the British Virgin Islands. Floating two miles from Necker Island – Richard Branson’s private paradise – the 125-acre escape has been hotly anticipated, described as: “The most exclusive homeowners association in the world.”
Virgin Limited Editions says that ten new luxury “estates” with private villas will be available to rent on Moskito Island later in 2021 as they gradually join the Virgin Limited Edition portfolio.
These will join the island’s existing Branson Estate – a collection of three villas with 11 bedrooms combined, sleeping 22 guests. To hire the entire Branson Estate exclusively for a week costs about £24,240 per night.
The Beach House kitchen has an inviting outdoor dining area that seats 26 people for gatherings, and it has a grill and a pizza oven.
Necker Island has four dining options including a floating sushi bar – where a kayak is filled with ice, flowers and freshly prepared sushi, before being floated along the beach pool to serve guest.
The British Virgin Islands’ borders reopened to international travellers on December 1, 2020.
