Complete with Danish art collection and waterfront terrace, members club Soho House Copenhagen is the first from the brand to open in Scandinavia. Jenny Southan reports
Located in central Copenhagen’s Havnegade district, Soho House Copenhagen will be a “home for the vibrant Danish creative community to connect and hangout”.
Set across two floors, there is a members’ club space, a Club Cecconi’s restaurant serving Venetian-inspired dishes, and an outdoor waterfront terrace. Upstairs, there’s the Harbour Room – a relaxed space to work from in the day with a variety of events and entertainment hosted in the evening.
Situated in a former Danish customs house and ferry terminal built in 1937, the interiors of Soho House Copenhagen are inspired by the building’s history and are reflected in “subtle maritime details” throughout the club.
To the right of reception, as people enter the main club space, there is a marble-topped, burlwood bar that serves cocktails. At Club Cecconi’s, dishes include spaghetti lobster and cacio e pepe, plus wood-fired langoustines in a chilli garlic butter, and cod, mussels and nduja butter with rainbow chard.
