Argos has partnered with Pinterest to launch the Argos Mood hotel – a world-first hotel concept that brings interior trends to life. Rose Dykins reports
Leading UK retailer Argos and visual inspiration platform Pinterest recently collaborated to launch the Argos Mood Hotel – a first-of-its-kind hotel concept curated using interior design products from the high-street brand, based on the hottest interiors trends emerging from Pinterest Predicts.
Located in London’s Bethnal Green, the Argos Mood Hotel was a temporary pop-up within Town Hall Hotel that showcased the most popular Pinterest trends from October 2019 to September 2021, through on-trend homeware and furniture from the latest Argos product ranges.
The pop-up experience brought to life the latest Pinterest interior trends across six “Mood Rooms”. Each room immersed guests in a different interiors trend through the latest Argos products, including furniture and homeware from the brand’s Habitat collection.
For three nights in April 2022, the rooms were open to the public for free overnight stays, with successful applicants winning the contents of one of the trend-led Mood Rooms, each one inspired by a design trend.
The Luxe Room (pictured below) featured feature plush velvets and opulent gold accents, appealing to those with a sense of extravagance.

“This innovative approach from Argos explores the ways people are using the platform and brings to life the very trends people are searching for, making it easy for home décor fans to take action on their creative ideas.”
Andrew Tanner, design manager at Argos, said: “This is a great opportunity to bring our homeware to life, immerse and inspire our customers and really demonstrate the ways our design-led furniture and homeware can transform a room.
“Trends have always been at the heart of our collections but now that we are adapting to a new way of living and spending more time in our homes, we want to demonstrate the various ways our design-led furniture and homeware can transform a room.”
It will be possible to experience the Mood Hotel through an upcoming immersive 360° video and detailed high-res photography, as well as via Pinterest and Argos’s social media channels.
