This month the Pavilions Anana Krabi in Thailand has reopened with the addition of 20 new pool access suites and a restaurant supplied by an on-site farm. Jenny Southan reports
Part of luxury hotel brand the Pavilions Hotels and Resorts, the 79-suite Pavilions Anana Krabi first opened in February 2021 on the south-west coast of Thailand’s famous Phang Nga Bay. After a period of closure during the pandemic, it reopened on March 1, 2022.
To cater to an anticipated surge in bookings, it has add 20 new Pool Access Suites (ten on the ground floor and ten on the first floor) that are centred around a shared lava stone pool with mineral-rich water sourced from nearby limestone mountains.
Each measuring 68 sqm, all suites feature espresso machines, and free arrival minibars and wifi. The pool is located a few steps away via a private terrace or private balconies and spiral staircases. Although communal, Globetrender thinks it provides a sense of exclusive access, which is special.
Powered by the regenerative principles of composting and water conservation, this one-acre small holding and oyster mushroom nursery provides a “sustainable farm-to-fork” experience.
The Pavilions Hotels and Resorts now has a total of ten owned or managed hotels and resorts in operation across Asia and Europe, with a further three in the pipeline.
