Yacht broker Denison has unveiled ‘Project Unique 71’, a futuristic vessel that is inspired by advanced aviation design. Jenny Southan reports
Project Unique 71 is a custom super yacht conceived by aviation design experts SkyStyle that will be exclusively available as a new construction opportunity with Denison. But whoever commissions it will need to be seriously rich as Denison estimates it will cost in the region of €85 million.
Lead designers Lucas Colombo and Max Pardo have worked with aircraft manufacturers such as Boeing to test the boundaries of what is possible in an aircraft cabin. Now, they are using their skills to break into the yachting industry.
Measuring 71 metres in length, Project Unique 71 is intended for “cruising oceans in style and at speed”. Denison says “her futuristic profile and 13-metre beam embrace sporty characteristics such as a sharp, pointed bow and three-dimensional surfaces”.
Guests can move from one deck to the other by lift or a central wraparound staircase. Inside, there are fully equipped private suites for up to 12 guests across four comfortable cabins, one VIP suite, and one master stateroom.
“The challenge is to find a shipyard that can understand this vision and the client’s goals – both as an individual and in their business/personal use of the yacht. We look forward to playing a small role in making this dream come true.”
