Opening early next year, Jaego’s House will combine co-working with childcare for families who want to work, rest and play together. Jenny Southan reports
Jaego’s House is a new kind of family club that will open in London’s Kensal Rise in early 2022. With membership from £99 a month, facilities include a jungle gym and soft play area, child-minding service and kids’ cinema.
For adults there is a co-working office, gym, treatment room and library. There is also a restaurant, café, and fitness studio that hosts regular classes and child-friendly sessions.
The nursery will offer a bespoke curriculum that draws on the best of a number of established early years education approaches and following advice from leading childcare experts and parents.
It will be led by a nursery manager with more than 30 years’ experience and will benefit from exclusive access to Jaego’s House facilities.
He says his main goal is to create a place where “family life is made easier and more fun”. Furthermore, it will always be somewhere where “kids are allowed to be kids”. “They can express themselves, make a mess and have the odd tantrum without any judgment, eye rolling or requests to be quiet. This is a place where children should be seen and heard.”
Gardiner says: “The dream for most parents is to find somewhere that they love visiting just as much as their kids do. And that is exactly how we want our guests to feel about Jaego’s House, a place that you can all enjoy and have a good time.
The first round of memberships will be available to purchase on February 1, 2022, at a special rate. Memberships are available on a first come, first served basis and are strictly limited.
- House: £150 joining fee, £99 monthly fee (frozen for life)
- Family: £250 joining fee, £150 monthly fee, frozen for a year (then £199 monthly)
- House and Co-work: £250 joining fee, £175 monthly fee, frozen for a year (then £230 monthly)
There will also be an affordable “pay and play” option for families to use Jaego’s House without making a long-term commitment.
