Luxury hotel chain Four Seasons is inviting guests to share photos of their stays on Instagram with the chance to win one of three trips abroad.

By using the hashtags #FocusFSChallenge and #FocusFS, Instagrammers must share one photo in four categories – “Design and Architecture”, “Local Culture”, “Nature’s Wonder” and “Me, in the Moment” – to have a chance of winning.

The Instagrammers with the most popular photos at the end of the contest will win one of three six-day holidays to…

California, staying in the Beverly Wilshire and Four Seasons Resort the Biltmore Santa Barbara

Hawaii, staying at the Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea and the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai

Hungary/the Czech Republic, staying at the Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace Budapest and the Four Seasons Hotel Prague

With more than 400 million active users on Instagram, it is no surprise companies such as Four Seasons are setting up accounts to promote their brand – @fourseasons now has 160,000 followers. The photo-sharing platform still lags behind Facebook, though, with about 1.5 billion.

Elizabeth Pizzinato, senior vice-president of marketing and communications for Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, says: “Focus on Four Seasons is an opportunity to harness the power of user-generated photography to showcase unique perspectives on established and emerging destinations, as well as the thrill of discovery that accompanies travel by globetrotters and new generations of travellers alike.”

Submissions must be made by November 19, 2015. For entry into the contest, images must also be uploaded here.

The challenge is open to residents of the US, the District of Columbia, Canada (excluding Quebec) and the UK.
